Mathie Mondays

After a twenty week commitment to calculus
There are but only two numbers
B&D (maybe) know for sure:
Nothing & 1.

No other (defn):
No one.

No ‘others’ means, No ‘ones’

iMan questions,

If there is no one,
Why do We still divide?

B&D, (despise doing division too.)

If there is no One
Maybe there is Less than One.

iMan

Less than One?

B&D

Less than One.
Incomplete,
Not whole,
in need of more.

a Less than One
can still be divided.

iMan

Without the ‘ones’
Without the ‘others’
We are not whole.

Division of fractions?

B&D

Yes.

iMan

Nooo, that’s so much harder.

B&D

But only if We’re greater than nothing.
Nothing cannot be divided.
You cannot divide by nothing.
That’s a rule.

iMan

What if We were less than Nothing?

B&D

Let’s try to stay positive.

iMan, recapping

If I’m less than One
I’m incomplete
Yet still have to do division...

Unless I am nothing.

B&D

True.

iMan

If I am One
Then I am Nothing
without the Other.

But, how do iKnow?

Am I Nothing
Or
Nothing without
One.

B&D

iMan, that’s your choice here.

To be
or to be One.
